It all started with the intention to build a website for the Power of One Initiative that could support creative collaboration with team members from all over the world. A place that we could virtually gather, and work together in an exchange that lead to creativity and transformation. A solution to assist each and everyones carbon footprint. And most of all, to inspire creative thought and action.
With many hours of coding and tweaking behind us, we feel that it’s ready to roll. Thank you Steven, thank you Dirk and thank you Renee for all the support you gave me through the late night coding.
We’re practicing diversity and open source thinking, right down to the systems in place. Starting at the hardware level, we are being served from Vancouver Canada by the great people at Gossamer Host using a linux server running FreeBSD. We’re serving up the pages with the latest version of Wordpress Mu, a multi-user environment that will allow us to grow and add additional blogs and subdomains as time goes. Within this system, we have included a project called “Buddypress“, which allows us to have an online community / social networking site similar in feel to Facebook. Both are state of the art in open source web development projects, and our work within these adds to the development as a whole.
While you are exploring all the articles, photos, & initiatives, we would love it if everyone would please fill out their profiles to include their power of one story and vision, so we may include your voice in the whole.
Updates can now be followed on Twitter, as well as Facebook.
Any feedback or questions on any of the systems here would be happily answered by myself, so please don’t hesitate to send me an email or a private message.
Enjoy the new website!

Thank you Ri for all your creative efforts to help launch Power of One. Hats off!
You have been great putting this together. Your ability to capture the essence and heart of PO1 is felt all over the site RI…Shokran! That is Thank You in Arabic, which I am now learning for my trip to Egypt today.
I am onboard now to serve as needed – let’s make this happen! When is the next meeting in D.C.?
