We are pleased to announce that Woodstock Theological Center and Power of One are jointly organizing an evening of conversation and dialogue featuring the work of Theoretical Physicist, Amit Goswami Ph.D., author of How Quantum Activism Can Change Civilization published in 2011. The event will take place on March 3, 2011, between 7 and 9pm at the Woodstock Theological Center Library at Georgetown University.

Our evening of conversation will gather 30-40 thought leaders as a next step to spark new ways of being and doing. While seating is limited we have reserved a limited number of spots for Founding Family members, colleagues, and friends interested to join us. Dear Founding Family member, colleague, and friend,

The new year is already well on its way. Judging from developments in among others Haiti, Tunisia, Lebanon, and Egypt, 2011 will offer plenty of expected and unexpected surprises. These events will open a window of opportunity to shape the future in an image our hearts know is possible.

The last three months have been a period of reflection. We have now started to reconnect with potential partners, colleagues, and friends to jointly develop concrete steps forward. Two strategic directions are clear: we wish deliver on our promise to (i) grow the Founding Family of the New World, and (ii) link emerging consciousness (being) about the possibility and need to create the New World to action (doing). We will seek to accomplish this by inviting an emerging network of entrepreneurial people and organizations (the Founding Family) to start and support innovative projects and initiatives in service of the whole.

Why? We feel there are more and more true evolutionary entrepreneurs eager and able to birth creative solutions for a peaceful and globally sustainable society. They also need a lot of help and support. Throughout history and around the globe, most new ventures and initiatives have initially been financed by family members and friends. The co-creation of this New World will be no different and is waiting for an extended Founding Family of present and prospective members to take heartfelt action. Social media, the Internet, and mobile cell phone applications now offer ever more possibil.ities to facilitate interconnectivity and collaborative action. During the next few months, we hope to make announcements about an initial set of innovative projects that we believe will be inspiring and deserve your consideration and support.

10.10.10 – Humanity’s Date with Destiny

Power of One invites the world to make a “Declaration of Interdependence” on 10.10.10.

Washington D.C. September 24, 2010 – The event organizers are calling for all of humanity to join together — either physically at the Lincoln Memorial on the National Mall or virtually, from wherever they are around the globe, from 10:00 am to 10:00 pm on October 10, 2010 (10.10.10.) to declare their commitment to the survival and evolution of humanity and all life on earth.

“This is a call for a major shift in consciousness.” says Steven Lovink, one of the co-founders of Power of One, “10.10.10 is a day for humanity to acknowledge and experience the depth of our interconnection with each other and all life. We hope our ‘Declaration of Interdependence’ will become a global statement of resolve that helps to inspire and initiate humanity to unleash its unlimited creative potential and entrepreneurial drive to co-create a peaceful and globally sustainable society.”

The opening ceremony on the Mall will commence at 10:00 am, followed at 10:10am by one minute’s silence, after which singer/songwriter and D.C. native Becca Levy performs John Lennon’s “Imagine.” Each hour throughout the day will start with a connective minute of silence, and scheduled activities will include an “on-the-hour” reading of the Declaration of Interdependence:

Let this be the day when all the people on Earth become the founding family of a new world that is truly born of the people, by the people, with the planet. May we, as one whole family, give birth to a sane new world that is economically viable, ecologically flourishing, naturally sustainable, wholly fulfilling, and truly just. Let this day give birth to a new world co-created to work in harmony, aligned by love, and grounded in the profound realization of our interconnection with each other, Nature, and the Source of all Life.

From this day forward, we consciously choose to live, love, and work together as One Family on One Planet realizing One Vision: A world of peace, abundance, joy, and freedom for all.

There will also be the creation of a “We Have A Dream” video throughout the day by recording people at the Lincoln Memorial sharing their dreams of a better future. At 6 pm, participants are invited to gather around the Reflecting Pool for a “Silence and Light” ceremony. (The whole event at the Mall is free to the public.)

All are invited to participate before, during and after 10.10.10 by placing their Avatar on a world map on the Power of One website, showing each person’s location on the planet and their intention for the world. This interactive map will record the growth of the Founding Family of The New World up until 10.10.10 and beyond. (Full details and program on the website.)

Declaration first read by the Power of One Team, after which all present are invited to stand together and give voice to their readiness to become the Founding Family of The New World:

From this day forward, we consciously choose to live, love, and work together as One Family on One Planet realizing One Vision: A world of peace, abundance, joy, and freedom for all.

Closing Call To Silence

1 minute of pure silence beginning and ending with the sound of gong.

10:20am	Sharing One Vision – Those gathered are invited to take a stroll around the Mall to reflect on the life, community, and world they most deeply want. Exploring what living, loving, and working together as One Family on One Planet realizing One Vision looks and feels like to them. Then, after their stroll, they are invited to: Share their vision from the heart by participating in an open dialogue on the steps to the Reflecting Pool, and / or Record their vision on video beside the E-Pluribus Unum plaque, in the “I have a dream” spirit of this place. From 10:45 am to 6:00pm we will record on video your vision for the new world to help co-create humanity’s new and unfolding story. They can watch their video later on www.powerofone.org
SILENCE & LIGHTS CEREMONY
Dusk: 6 – 7:00pm	Shine Your Light, Connect in Silence – Those gathered form a circle of love, shining their light in contemplative silence. People are invited to bring flashlights or other light sources to shine as visible symbols of our collective will for a light-filled new world (no open flames, please). People can stay a few minutes or until the close of the day at 10pm, as they wish.
“Out of Many: One” – CLOSING CIRCLE
10pm	Closing the Space – Closing circle of Oneness and appreciation around the E Pluribus Unum plaque. Let the New World be born!
RHYTHM OF THE DAY – The intent for the day is to create a deep, authentic experience of connectedness, hope, and genuine resolve to actually begin creating a New World that reflects our deepest truths and highest aspirations. Each hour, as we connect deeply in silence in the space where those truths reside, we declare ourselves ready to create the New World. As we hold that energy in silence we send our intentions out into the universe, building the energy during the day, as more people join us each hour at the Mall. It is anticipated that people from around the globe will participate virtually, by connecting with us in silence on the hour, from 10:00am to 10:00pm.
