We are pleased to announce that Woodstock Theological Center and Power of One are jointly organizing an evening of conversation and dialogue featuring the work of Theoretical Physicist, Amit Goswami Ph.D., author of How Quantum Activism Can Change Civilization published in 2011. The event will take place on March 3, 2011, between 7 and 9pm  at the Woodstock Theological Center Library at Georgetown University.

Our evening of conversation will gather 30-40 thought leaders as a next step to spark new ways of being and doing. While seating is limited we have reserved a limited number of spots for Founding Family members, colleagues, and friends interested to join us. SUBJECT: Joining Forces for Truthiness and Beyond

CC: The Planet.

So, you want to hold a Restoring Truthiness event on the National Mall on 10.10.10 to counter Beck’s Restoring Honor rally? The window of opportunity to have Stephen Colbert (and maybe even JStew) on the steps of the Lincoln Memorial that day is still open. In fact, we’ve been waiting for you to show up!

As the intuitively-guided ones who have the National Mall reserved on October 10th for Humanity’s Date With Destiny, we say, in all Truthiness, that we’re psychic. We knew a year ago that you’d want to use that space, so we reserved it. We obtained the necessary permits. We even started planning it for you.

How convenient is that? Yes, long before the rally was a mere glimmer in your eye, we tapped into the Truthiness Field and saw the whole thing unfold. We’ve been hard at work for a year on your behalf. Must we do ALL the work? We’re only a month away! You guys need to show up and get cracking with us to make this happen. Let’s talk.

One thing we need to clear up though: The Truthiness Field indicated that you’d be setting your sights a wee bit higher than merely countering Beck. Honestly, why give him that much power? There would be no doorway big enough to get his head through if you do that.

Instead, the Field told us a year ago that you’d want to go beyond rearranging the deck chairs on the Titanic. It suggested you’d want to be heros and use your vast reach, social capital and access to the gods of comedy to begin co-creating a whole new world—one that actually works and that can continue to sustain human life on the planet! You don’t need to be psychic like us to know the world’s hair is on fire and its ass is catching.

That’s where the Power of One and Einstein come in: You see, we can’t hope to find a way out of the Giant Global Hairball we’ve created using the same level of consciousness that got us into it in the first place. Einstein knew it. We know it. You know it. Everyone who’s able to sit up and take nourishment knows it. So, we’re planning a day where we DO lots of cool stuff, and also just sit in silence —to hit the pause button on the rat race just long enough to access the space where Truth-not-Truthiness resides. Call us airy-faerie (or “ecological”) if you want, but we need to try another game plan – ‘cause doing the same thing over and over and expecting different results is the definition of insanity!

How about moving through Truthiness into Restoring the Entire Planet? Hey, if you’re going to play in our sandbox, you’re going to have to bring a bigger bucket. We know you have one, so c’mon: Bring It! Come play with us for the planet! Help inspire a movement that envisions humanity as One Family—the Founding Family of a new, Beyond-Truthiness world – a place where we unravel the Hairball, where we tune into what we most deeply want for our lives, communities, and world. Laughter is surely one of our very best defenses and a place where we can all begin…

So, let’s have fun, but let’s get down towork, together—E Pluribus Unum style. You know, of the people, by the people, with the planet. Does this sound familiar? We’re already very much in sync. Colbert fans have essentially called a rally based on the same “of the people” principles. They have successfully gathered 50,000+ actual believers in the Truthiness Field, ready for action. Let’s demonstrate that we can create the new world in the same way. It takes intention, commitment and some humor of course! (And we have some wild, scientific types that are ready to help us measure group energy – imagine that!)

How can we work together to pull a rabbit out of the hat and make the Colbert rally a reality?

Here’s how we start: We’re calling the masses to crowd-finance and co-create this event with small financial, energetic, and talent contributions. This is where you guys can start pulling your weight and carry the heavy end of the event-planning sofa we’ve been carrying for you for the last year.

And, to all of the thousands of Truthiness Rally supporters out there –

How can we work together to pull a rabbit out of the hat and make the Colbert rally a reality? Here’s what you can do:

Unleash your networks on the “of the people, by the people” crowd-financing strategy:

Just to let you know, we don’t have a pot of gold sitting in underground bunkers to use for stages and microphones Colbert and JStew will need.  Like you, we’re just trying to make something wonderful happen and we all know it’s going to take all of us to create a financial pool to:

1. Cover costs for the kind of event shiny enough to inspire Colbert to come to the Mall.  Hey, we need jumbotrons, sound systems, staging.  We need Port-a-Potties! (Unless you plan to bring your own or plan to hold it all day long!), and then to

2. Start funding some cool projects you’ll be able to vote on post 10.10.10 (environmental, entrepreneurial, social justice – fun stuff we all want!).  After all, if we’re going to create a new world Beyond Truthinesss – and we want to have it actually work – we’ll have to take charge!  Let’s not wait for corporations or governments to take the lead on needs to be done – they have a nasty habit of doing the “truthy” thing, right?

The “hidden in plain sight” thing is that, WE, THE PEOPLE, actually have some amazing power, especially when we get together!  Go figure–a country we know and love was founded on this crazy idea and so was the Power of One.  Social capital is REAL!  WE CAN DO THIS THING – let’s show the world how fast things can get done!

And in the true spirit of actually walking one’s talk (a foreign concept these days) we want to let you know that Power of One is a real-live 501c3.  So, we won’t line our pockets – we’re all working to change the world, not milk it.

So, go for it!

• Share your ideas for 10.10.10 with us: bands, performers, activities – you name it!
• Go to the Power of One Facebook page, and join, say that you “Like” this letter, and submit your ideas for activities for the day.
• Create a video about creating the world you most deeply want and post it on YouTube with the tag “Power of One 10.10.10.” Our plans are to play the videos on the National Mall throughout the day so people can participate virtually and for the world to see our collective will.
